Girish Chhaganlal Bhatt

Girish Chhaganlal Bhatt received his diploma in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda in 1958. He has shown his work extensively in India including solo exhibitions at the Taj art gallery and the Jahangir art gallery in Mumbai. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions worldwide including the 1961 Venice Biennale in Italy and in several exhibitions organized by the Lalit Kala Akademi of New Delhi. He was also invited to participate in the “Delhi Sculpture Festival” organized by Dhoomimal gallery in 1989 and 1990.

Bhatt is the recipient of a number of prestigious awards including the Gujarat State Lalit Kala Akademi Exhibition Award, a Silver Medal from the Indian Sculptors Association, the Bombay Arts Society Award, and the All India Kalidas Art Exhibition Award.
