PAPPU BARDHAN

A talented artist and recipient of 2007 Birla Academy award, Pappu Bardhan graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, MS University Baroda in 2001. Bardhan's recent works narrates the predicament, paradoxes and dissonances of urban life. He has participated in several group shows including the Birla Academy Annual Exhibition, a group show curated by Pranabranjan Roy at Gallery Nakshatra, an exhibition at Travancore art gallery curated by Jayaram Poduval and mattersofart.com. He was also one of the participants in the All India Young Contemporary Artist curated by mattersofart.com at Rabindra Bhavan, Modern to Contemporary at Kolkata Gallery, and Beyond the Frame in Academy of Fine Arts curated by Sudip Dutta, a group show at Chemould art gallery in 2003 and Jehangir art gallery in 2004, the Academy of Fine Art Annual Exhibition in Painting in 2003, Kolkata Information Centre Annual Exhibition in 2002, A.I.F.A.C.S. Annual Sate Level Exhibition in Drawing in 2002 held in West Bengal.
