Tamarind Art Council is proud to present a lecture and an artist discussion with Kathy Smith, renowned painter and animator from Australia. On Thursday October 15th Kathy Smith will be discussing her work from a perspective of painter/animator to digital artist and teacher combining theory and practice. 

Tamarind Art Council is excited to host a lecture by Jay Varma who is a gifted artist and grandson of legendary painter Raja Ravi Varma. In his slide show presentation, Jay Varma will share rare anecdotes to map evolution of Raja Ravi Varma’s art and to illustrate his relevance in India Today. 

Tamarind Art Council presents a lecture by Rebecca M. Brown an associate professor of art history at Johns Hopkins University, and author of the recent book, Art for a Modern India, 1947-1980. This will be a wonderful talk on modern and contemporary art in India and should not be missed by scholars and art lover alike.
