Bharathnatyam performance by Indra-nila on May 17, 2009, from 7:00PM to 8:00PM.

Indra-nila will give a unique performance of her dances starting with Maha Ganapati Stuti, Shiva Slokam, Ananda Natanam and Allaripu in the style of Bharata Natyam, from South-East India. She will do a brief demonstration of Nritta-technique and Abhinaya- expression. She would further perform “The lotus pond” –Description of nature, “Thillana”-dance of rhythm, “Mayura”-the peacock and last but not least a Hindu hymn from 1960’s called “My mind is always floating on the thoughts of my Lord”. Audience participation will be part of the performance.
