Silt of Sentiment: Indian Contemporaries.
Tamarind Art Council is pleased to present “Silt of Sentiment”, an exhibition featuring three talented Indian women artists: Sumana Chowdhury, Mahjabin Majumdar and Kajal Shah. Displayed together the works speak many languages and conjure up many emotions addressing issues such as displacement of time and space, shifting borders of personal and political geographies, notions of loss, rapid deterioration of the environment and women’s continuing struggle for equality.

- Mohiniyattam performance by Laxmi Kurup & Noopura Dance Company on May 16, 2009 from 6:30PM to 7:30PM
- TABLA TRIVENI – an hour long tabla extravaganza on May 17, 2009, from 5:30PM to 6:30PM
- Bharathnatyam performance by Indra-nila on May 17, 2009, from 7:00PM to 8:00PM.
